The Deckchair Cinema is considered one of the most beautiful and inspiring outdoor cinemas in Australia. It’s a ‘must see’ for tourists - a perfect evening entertainment option! Group introduction, casual networking, post tour wind downs, or value adding are some of the ways you could incorporate a night at the Deckchair into your conference or tour event.

The cinema is located on the edge of the beautiful Darwin Harbour. A perfect location for relaxing sunset drinks and nibbles prior to a movie. Gates open from 6:30pm seven nights a week, giving patrons an hour to enjoy the scenery before taking a deckchair! The dry season skies are star studded and the cooling sea breezes are a reminder of the great tropical lifestyle in the Top End.

Our kiosk is fully licensed! You can purchase drinks here but strictly no BYO alcohol.

The Deckchair Cinema has a beautiful lawn area that can be hired for a cocktail or dinner function for 20 – 100 guests. For larger groups the whole venue can be hired for the night.

We program a diverse range of films - Australian, foreign, popular, family friendly and the occasional classic - something to please everyone.
