The Age of Shadows

The Age of Shadows is a smart spy thriller set in late 1920s Korea, during Japanese occupation.

Lavish sets and a slick noir aesthetic compliment an intriguing plot beginning with Lee Jung-chool, a Korean-born police captain in the Japanese police force, who is given a special mission to infiltrate the armed resistance. However, his Japanese bosses suspect a shift in allegiance, and a deadly cat-and-mouse game unfolds in which loyalty is tested and no-one can be trusted. Korean with English subtitles.
